"Who's Better?" #2 - Niels Bohr and Enrico Fermi
Episode 2 of "Who's Better?" is about Niels Bohr and Enrico Fermi, two great physicists hailing from Europe. Learn how they grew up, how they contributed to the world and their legacy
Niels Bohr
Niels Henrik David Bohr ( 7 October 1885 – 18 November 1962) was a Danish physicist who made foundational contributions to understanding atomic structure and quantum theory.
Bohr developed the Bohr model of the atom, in which he proposed that energy levels of electrons are discrete and that the electrons revolve in stable orbits around the atomic nucleus but can jump from one energy level (or orbit) to another.
Enrico Fermi
Enrico Fermi (29 September 1901 - 28 November 1954) was an Italian (later naturalized American) physicist and the creator of the world's first nuclear reactor, the Chicago Pile-1. He has been called the architect of the nuclear age and the architect of the atomic bomb.
